Perfect Christmas Cards & Wrap With Paperchase

Perfect Christmas Cards & Wrap With Paperchase

I am a big fan of nice cards and good wrapping paper and I always put a lot of thought into the cards I choose and the wrapping paper I buy.

Firstly, I have to like the card I am going to send or the wrapping paper I am going to wrap someone's gift in and if I'd like to receive it myself, then I'll buy it. I also like to imagine the recipient opening the card or present and loving the card I've chosen or the paper I've picked for them and smiling before they've even read the message or looked at the gift. It takes a lot of thought and I feel like the front of a card or the wrapping paper for a gift is the first impression and it should make an impact!

Christmas cards, £3.75

I actually save a lot of the cards I'm sent and feature them on the pinboard in my office (you can see my home office here) and I've even bought cards just because I like the image or words and want to frame them at home.

Christmas is the ideal time for me to go all out with my cards and wrapping paper and one of my favourite places to shop for both is Paperchase. I visit Paperchase all year around and every December, it's where I buy my cards and wrap from. There is always so much choice and it's always fun, colourful and packed with pattern - a style that I very much endorse in our own home!

Nutcracker foil wrapping paper, £3.75 (3 for 2 offer) & Green ribbon, £1.75 (set of three)

This year, I was given a gift card to spend with Paperchase to create my perfectly wrapped Christmas presents and it was very exciting popping into their Manchester store earlier this week and choosing what to pick. To be honest, I'm a bit like a kid in a sweet shop in Paperchase and I could have bought everything, but I limited myself (it was a hard task, let me tell you) and went with a theme that comprises a bit of retro, a touch of tropical and a lot of glitz - a bit of me, I'm sure you'll agree!

Cactus kraft wrapping paper, £3.75 (3 for 2) & White raffia, £2.10 (set of three)

Gold foil stripe wrapping paper, £3.75

I had a lot of fun wrapping my presents. With my all time favourite Christmas album playing on our record player - Phil Spector's 'A Christmas Gift For You' - a cup of tea in my new cactus Paperchase mug and a table full of mini baubles, tinsel, ribbons and gift tags, it was a wonderful few hours of fun! I felt very Christmassy indeed.

Tinsel Christmas ribbon, £1.75 (Set of three)

Golden Palace gold scissors, £5.50 & baubles, £7.50

Of course, you can't gift a present without also sending a card, so after wrapping my presents, I wrote my stylish Christmas cards with a cool Paperchase cactus pen and of course, another cuppa in my new mug. Well, I am Northern!

Cactus pen, £3 - thanks to my husband modelling as a hand model here...!

Red glitter Christmas gift tags, £1.23 (set of ten)

Open Me kraft Christmas gift tags, £1.40 (set of three) & Mini baubles, £4.55 (set of nine)

I hope you like what I chose and how I wrapped my presents and that it gives you some inspiration for your own present wrapping and Christmas cards. You hopefully still have time to fit a little shopping trip to Paperchase in ahead of the big day too!

*This post was in collaboration with Paperchase and I was gifted the items included in this piece. As always, I only ever work with brands I love and want to showcase on this blog!*
